You must acknowledge that you
have read and understand the following terms and conditions:
- Payments are deducted from the bank account or
charged to the credit card immediately.
- The maximum payment allowed is $5,000
(five-thousand dollars). Limits
imposed by your credit card company or banking institution may be less
than this maximum payment and may result in declined transactions or
fees. The customer assumes
responsibility for any of these fees charged by their bank or credit card
company.
- Payments returned by a banking institution as
Insufficient Funds, Account Closed, Unknown Account, Stopped Payment,
Fraud or other reasons are subject to returned check fees charged by the
City and the amount returned plus any fees must be paid immediately in order to avoid late fees
or disconnection of services.
- Customers incurring two (2) returned payments
from a banking institution will be placed on a "Cash Only" basis
for a period not less than 12 months.
- There are no online refunds for utility
payments. Any overpayment on your account will be posted as a credit
balance and will be applied to future bills. If there is a discrepancy,
please call Customer Service at (435) 627-4700. If your account closed
with a credit balance, the City will mail you a refund check.
- The City will provide law enforcement
officials with any requested information in the event that fraudulent or
stolen bank account information has been provided by the customer.
- Customer is responsible to review monthly
bills for accuracy of charges, review any notifications included on the
monthly bill and to notify the City if a bill is not received. Not receiving a monthly statement does
not change the due date, amount due, or shut off status.
- If partial payment results in a remaining
utility account balance, customer shall be responsible for any associated
late fees assessed and understands they will not be waived by the City.
Customers who have received a shut off notice need to pay their full past
due amount by the due date indicated on the shut off notice to avoid
disconnection.
